چکیده
Studies on hazelnut (Corylus avellana L.) rootstocks have been limited to date. However, the use of vigorous, non-suckering for this species could increase cost-effectiveness orchards by reducing annual need prune suckers, thus facilitating mechanical harvesting, and orchard management costs environmental impact. Seedlings Turkish tree hazel (C. colurna used traditionally in Serbia. In 1970s, United States Department Agriculture Corvallis, Oregon (USA) released first two clonal rootstocks—‘Dundee’ ‘Newberg’—from open-pollinated seeds C. colurna. Moreover, selection cvs. with few suckers is continuing. Trials carried out different countries own-rooted grafted plants shown good performance hazelnuts. Currently, some nurseries several are propagating grafting trees planting commercial orchards. Interest these cultivar/rootstock combinations increasing, more new expected be planted coming years.

متن کاملHigh Quality RNA Isolation from Leaf, Shell, Root Tissues and Callus of Hazelnut (Corylus avellana L.)
Extraction of high quality RNA is a critical step in molecular genetics studies. Hazelnut is one of the most important nuts plants in the world. The presence of the taxol and other taxanes in hazelnut plant necessitates explaining their biosynthesis pathway and identifying the candidate genes. Therefore, an easy and practical method is necessary for RNA extraction from hazelnuts. Hazelnut has h...

Iran has suitable conditions for cultivating high-quality varieties of hazelnuts (Corylus avellana L.). Most of hazelnut orchards in Iran have been established by planting native genotypes. Aspergillus flavus Link. (AF) is a filamentous fungus affecting hazelnut kernels in orchards and during storage conditions. The most widely explored strategy for reducing aflatoxin contamin...

hazelnut is grown in limited areas of iran with high rainfall and high relative humidity. new cultivars and rootstocks that are tolerant of drought and low humidity are needed to expand hazelnut cultivation. to this end, seeds of 14 local corylus avellana l. genotypes (a1, a2, gerche, gerde eshkevarat, gerde shok, mahalli karaj, nakhon rood, navan1, navan7, navan9, navan10, pashmineh, shirvani ...
متن کاملIn silico development and characterization of tri-nucleotide simple sequence repeat markers in hazelnut (Corylus avellana L.)
Plant genomes are now sequenced rapidly and inexpensively. In silico approaches allow efficient development of simple sequence repeat markers, also known as microsatellite markers, from these sequences. A search of the genome sequence of 'Jefferson' hazelnut (Corylus avellana L.) identified 8,708 tri-nucleotide simple sequence repeats with at least five repeat units, and stepwise removal of the...
